Record of the day

Mickelson won a major at age 50.

Phil Mickelson won the PGA Championship in May 2021 at age 50, at Kiawah Island. He won by two shots and finished at 6 under par, 282. The old record for oldest major champion was Julius Boros, who was 48 in 1968.

He beat men half his age to become the oldest major winner ever.

Joe Malone's 7 Goals in One Game Still Unmatched After a Century

Joe Malone scored 7 goals in one NHL game for the Quebec Bulldogs on January 31, 1920. This record has stood for over a hundred years. No player has matched this incredible feat since.

It is absurd that such a high-scoring game remains unbroken for so long.
